I have a Dell XPS 630 still running XP for older version of MS Flight Sim. I want to upgrade the video card to best or nearly best available to improve performance (some jerky motion). Current card is GeForce 8800.

Good price at Newegg on ASUS GTX660 but I have no idea if this will work or if it is the best solution. Suggestions appreciated.

First of all post your budget. Then we can give you suggestion that suits you best.

If you don't mind second hand then you will find some very good deal on ebay. And if you can, grab a 660 TI.

I read your PC have a 750W psu. So it wont be problem. But you definitely have PCIe 2.0. You won't get the full bandwidth of the card. Otherwise it will work just fine i think.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Budget of 250 to 350 is not a problem. So a PCIe 2.0 would be the best bang for the buck since that is going to be my bandwith limit anyway.

You can get a MSI GTX 670 for $360 (after rebate) on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127675. Or you can get an EVGA 670 for $350 (after rebate) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130782.

Here is a Asus GTX 660 TI for $290 (after rebate) http://http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121656

A GTX 660 for $184 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125443

Or if you want to save money go with radeon 7850 or 7870LE.

If i were in your place i would go with the GTX 670. Its the best bang for your buck, you get a top of the line card and it will serve you years to come. Good luck ;-)
