I can find my wifi but could not connect with it.

Hi everyone,
Neither my ipad nor iphone could connect with my wifi but the cable connection works well. I can find my wifi and the signal is strong but I just unable to join the network. I restart the cable box several times even pressed the reset button but it still doesn't work. Anyone knows how to fix it? Do I need to buy a new cable box?

probably you have security on and have not used the required password to enable connection.
It should prompt you for password when you try connect.
You prob don't need a new box.. you prob just need read (and understand) the manual for your current box.

Thank you yoji. I have been using this cable box for 18 months and the problem just appear recently. I have the password but the devices don't ask since second time I join the network. I think I lost the manual.. Actually the same problem happend before but it would only last about several hours. Anything I can do to fix it?.. Thanks!

when you said reset it? how did you reset it?
A simple reset button probably just reboots..
You should probably start simple and get more drastic if things don't work. so start with
1. reset (you done that.. so go on to 2)
2. Turn off power to box.. wait 30 seconds and apply power back. If that not fix.. go to 3.
3. Hard reset.. reset it to factory configuration. .you will need manual prob to say how to do it.. but once reset - you will have to reset security keys and all the config you want/need. It should not need more than this to get it working.

what brand/model is it? don't be a noob and say "I lost the manual" you should be able to get a copy off the internet.
