HD7970 and 600W PSU, also vapor-x vs lighting

Hi everyone! I will be buying 7970 later this week, and just now it hit me, will my psu be able to handle it? It's a Corsair cx600. I know AMD recommends a 500 watt PSU, but just to be sure, I decided it would be good to hear your opinions.
Also I would like to know which 7970 to get: SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD 7970 GHz Edition or MSI Radeon HD 7970 Lightning? I'm leaning more towards the Vapor-X, since it's a bit cheaper, plus ghz edition, I guess, is nice. But I've never owned a Sapphire card before, so it will be nice to hear your thoughts on it.
My whole pc specs are:
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX 4gb DDR3
PSU: Corsair CX600
Current GPU: HD5670
HDD: some 7200 rpm Samsung
That's pretty much it.

Yes your power supply is good enough for a 7970 and you should buy which ever is cheaper of those two because both are beast and you couldn't go wrong with either one.
  2. 600w is very enough for that gpu be sure!
  3. Thanks guys, I'll be getting Vapor-x then. As for the PSU, I thought as much, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. :)
  4. No problem.Your welcome!
