Monitor Will Not Connect

Hi,

So I have been using my desktop for the past year and it has been running perfectly for ~10 months. However, the monitor refuses to connect with my computer lately. My specs: i5-2500k, Msi 560 Ti Twin Frozr II, Asus P8z68 V-LX, Corsair Hydro H60, Kingston HyperX DDR3 (4x4Gb), CM GX 650-Watt, Seagate Barracuda. I am using the included DVI to VGA adapter from MSi. However, my monitor using only vga (no adapter) to my laptop works perfectly. Can someone please help me? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

You might have a broken adapter or your port might be faulty. Since you've ruled out the monitor being broken and the same VGA cord works with the laptop, it's got to be one of the two. Buy a cheap adapter and see if that fixes your problem. If it doesn't, your video card may be broken.

In the last case, contact MSI and see what they recommend.
