I have a Hp-2103wb computer that i installed corsair vengeance 16gb of 1600 ram onto.It worked fine even though the motherboard said it had a limit of 8gb , but who cares right. Months pass and i put a 2500k to replace the pentium. the computer would boot but not display anything. later I took out half the ram as a recommendation and it was fine. i tested to see if the cpu collided with something, but then even the old cpu wouldn't display anything. Help would be helpful.

Well with official support for only 4 gigabyte sticks, I think you lucked out.

If the bios has ANY options(they tend to limit those on prebuilt systems), You may be able to try to back off the speed to 1333 and see if you can get them to work together again.

Does it work with one old stick and one new stick?

I once had a laptop that NEEDED slower memory to be stable so I flashed the memory spd to the slower speed and it has worked ever since(but i am 100% sure i kissed my warranty goodbye. I only needed to flash 1 stick as the board follows the slowest stick anyway.).

1. Remove the ram sticks
2. Remove the cpu and cpu cooler
3. Throw the crappy hp computer out
4. Go on newegg and enjoy building a new pc

...

Seriously, why are you trying so hard to upgrade a hp ?
