Need help/Advice with building 2 PC's out of gigabyte motherboards x79s-up5 and x58a-u3dr 3930k and i-930 CPU

Hey all first of all i been getting so much info and help from this forum from years ago and decided to finally join. Thank you for such useful infos!

Now my advice im looking for is for 3 rigs i need to make. And im not really familiar with overclocking and cooling but been learning alot past couple of weeks. Also english isnt my first language so please excuse my bad grammar and spelling time to time.. SO>>>>!!!

I Started out with a 2 duo core e8400 lol than 1366 i-930 than decided to upgrade than wounded up building 3 PC because my nephews sold me some nice parts for cheap. Than i went computer crazy and kinda fell in love as a hobby, just like hooking up my car lol.

I need to build 3 PC Desktops. 1 somewhat GREAT computer for home studio (making beats/music/recording/cubase/ableton) needs realy fast loading of programs so going all ssds + 1 2tb HDD?. Lowest latency if possible! and 1 PC above average computer for games,movies,internet everything BUT music. 3rd one is for my parents just to watch dvds and youtube and etc.Doesnt need much help ill use leftover parts.. lol

Which part to sell and which part to buy?

Any help or input would be appriciated. Thank you in advance!

Gigabyte ga x58a ud3r (1366)
Gigabyte x79s up5 wifi (2011) Ordered!

CPU's:
1x1366 Socket i7 i-930
1x2011 Socket i7 3930k Ordered!
1x???? Socket Core 2 Duo E8400

SSD/HD
3 x Corsair Force GS 240gb 2 new 1 used (3 weeks)
2 x Plextor M5Pro 256gb 1 new 1 used (2 weeks)
4 x Western Black Cavier 7200rpm 2tb 3 new 1 used (2 weeks)
1 x Western 5400rpm 1tb used
2 x External Hardrive 2tb each used

Debating to sell these and get 512 mbs? All brand new just open box for display from store. Should i just use them or sell and get 512gb's?
I heard samsung pro 840 is best ssd.
Any advice on how i should set two PC with these ssds/hdd or selland rebuy? And maybe throw 1 ssd in the old e8400 PC? or is the western black enough?

2 x Zotac GTX 680 AMP 2gb Ordered!
1 x NVIDIA GTC 660 Ti 3gb
1 x Asus GTS 450 1gb? 2gb?
1 x 6890? Radeon? 1gb?

Going SLI on GTX 680 on 1 pc and probably selling the 660ti or gts 450

PSU's:

Raidmax 1000w 80 Gold plated
Antec 520w 80 Copper plated
Antec 550w

Memory Rams's:

2 x 2gb ddr2 ram (e8400)
3 x 2gb Giel 1600mhz 7-7-7-24 ran before upgrading to 24gb below:
Currently on i930=6 x 4gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 (24gb maxed X58 board)

Debating to buy for the x79s MOBO either 64gb ram MAX:
8 x 8gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz (c10 model) 10-10-10-27 (can get it much cheaper than the model (c9) 9-9-9-24 reason choosing this c10 model not c9)
or
8 x 4gb Corsair dominator gt 2133mhz ? Is this compatible? Is 64gb ram at 1600mhz > 32gb at 2133? Vice versa?

Rosewill THOR V2 Bought it for my gigabyte x79s MOBO
Irwin full tower thats sitting my gigabyte ga x58 ud3r
Some huge red full tower

Fan:
Only stock fan and Coolermaster h20? the heatsink and fan and 4 fans currently on each cases.

Monitors:
3 x 32 inch samsung LED 1080p 60hz 120CFM
3 x 40 inch samsung LED 1080p 60hz 120CFM
1 x 55 inch samsung LED 3D 120hz 240CFM

I want to go water cooling route. Can someone explain or let me know what i can buy to keep 2of the cases in stable temputure with overclocking?

Planning to OC the 3930k to around 4~4.4?ghz ish and the i-930 to 3~3.8?ghz ish or more if possibly stable. And IDK what to do with the e8400..It does run stable lol..Probabaly not overclock it. Just make it useable for my moms and pops.

ANY INPUT or advice would be so much helpful.

Yes , push/pull is just that , you attach the fans on one side of the radiator and they blow through the radiator and on the other side you put them so that they are blowing away from the radiator which helps to pull air through the radiator.
The H100i is the newer version and will be better.

Well first, welcome to the forums with your first thread posted.

With trying to get advice for three computer builds at one time will be confusing and it may be better to go one at a time so there's no confusion. You also might want to be a bit more clear on what parts that you have and what you want to buy. I see that you say you have ordered some parts and unsure on others. Also which computer will be used for what, which one for gaming and which one for music?

For overclocking the i7-3930k is very easy to overclock and with no trouble at all you can get it to 4.5ghz and you may want to use the Corsair H-100 for the cpu cooler, it's a closed loop water cooling device that will keep the 3930k under control temp wise.
I doubt that you will need 64gb or ram and 32gb will be more than enough if your using it for your music applications.
The i7-930 on the x58 platform can be overclocked to a least 4ghz and the Corsair H-80 would be a good cpu cooler for it. If this is the gaming machine then 8gb of ram will be enough as no game will need more than 2gb or 3gb for a total of 5gb with the OS and other things running in the background.

On all the computers a 256gb SSD for the OS drive will be good and a 2tb WD Black for the secondary drive would be good.

For the vido cards the two 680's should be in the gaming computer and the other two just need standard cards nothing special.

You really do need to specify which computer will be used for gaming and which for music and then we can be more specific in parts selection.

Currently using cubase and abletone. And few of the VSTS plugins are 64bit but thats the reason why i was asking and wondering if it was even needed and whats the best options. Im currently running 24gb at 1600mhz on my current computer with the i930 so i didnt think it was needed to have 64gb of ram on the 3930k

(upgrading comp)I would like to use the 3930k/x79smobo/64gb max ram@1600 or 32gb@2133 or 16gb@2133 for music as thats my main priority. (current computer)Than the i 930/x58mobo/24gb 1600mhz vengeance already installed for gaming and most actitivies and the e8400 with left over parts for just dvd and etc.

Most of the parts i already have or ordered except the rams for the x79s mobo and cpu coolers/fan/watercooler. I heard the x79s has issues with running all 8dimms above 1600mhz so im thinking to either get 4 2133mhz 4x8gb=32gb or just get 8x8gb 64gb 1600mhz but thought 64gb is a bit overkill.

Also concern about cooling both of the computers. I am not familiar with water cooling or cooling in general or overclocking. I did purchase a Rosewill Thor V2 case which is HUGE and has 6 outputs holes for water cooling hoses?
I would like to know how to get MAX cooling for this case and the two CPU's above 3930k and i930 and how to cool the rams as well in quad and triple channel setting.
Currently with just the h20 heatsink on my i930 with 24gb all 6dimms filled in a medium case. Im idling at 40~45c at stock 52~58c OC'd at 3.6ghz. But both at 100% load running near 75~78c for stock and 85~95c! OC'ed at 3.6ghz. So i feel its kinda running hot so i got the huge THOR 2 cases and want to go water cooling route now.

So the game computer ill have the SLI 2 x GTX 680 amp and the music comp ill have the single 660ti and asus ill use for the e8400 and the radeon probably donate or sell.

Water cooling is a big step , expensive and time consuming to install and get it right. You can do very well with the temps by using the cpu coolers I referred to in the previous post.

For the 2011 socket.

This would be a good way to get introduced to water cooling and it's very easy to install, almost as easy as a regular heatsink/fan. The ram does not require water cooling and as long as the case has good air flow the ram sticks will be ok. As I mentioned before huge amounts of ram are not required and eve though you may want to have 32gb or 64gb installed you can but it won't be used. If you currently have a computer running over 8gb of ram you can easily see this by opening the performance monitor in task manager and looking at the real time ram usage while using an application or gaming.
The case you have will have a lot of spots to add fans and you can shop for low db high pressure fans to have good air flow and low noise.

Thank you so much. Decided to go with 32gb or less ram at 1600mhz or 2133mhz and gonna try water colling for the CPU only like you suggested and air cool the rest. I just hope i can fit the h100i in the THOR V2 case. I heard only plac eon top to mount the radiator has to be under 230 or 220 in size. Maybe i can rig or mod the case to fit it?

Modding a case is easy if you have a Dremmel tool and in my opinion any case can be modded if need be. Careful planning is essential as you get one shot most of the time. A case that is a full tower should be good for mounting most anything.
I have the CM HAF-X which is huge and capable of having a 360 radiator mounted in the top, however I wanted to go with a very thick radiator and fans on both sides so I modded the case to accommodate that. It ended up looking ok and part of the case.

Yes since i have extra spare huge cases as well i think im gonna take the chance!! Becuase looking ugly is FINE with me. LOL Long as i get the best performance at realibility than ill be good. So i decided on the water cooling h100i or h100. Which is the better? Also i would like a pull and push fan setup next to the radiator as well? Does push and pull mean two same size fan at top , 1 fan pushing air out and 1 pulling air in?
