im using the stability test and maxed out my cores, reached 4 V on 3.3 Volt for cpu, 4 V was the maximum, not sure if it was constant
reaching at most 55 C
everything is running good in terms of heat

but my system has shutdown unexpectedly 5 times already

built rig last week

heat is not the issue

just wondering if it could be Power supply or motherboard

using a z77 v pro from asus

the motherboard has said after unexpected shutdowns its the anti-surge protection, saying it detected surge in power supply
could it still be the motherboard? maybe like a voltage regulator
or is it definitely the PSU?

i have ax1200i From corsair

are their any other tests i could run on the rig before deciding for RMA

i have only used the aida64 stability test for about 20 minutes and didnt shutdown on me

everytime the system shutdown was when i was barely utilizing the cpu, just surfing nothing more, i did and still have multiple programs to monitor my sensors for temps, fan rpms, etc

also unintalled al suite 2 program from asus, gave me many bogus warnings only for -60 C for my motherboard and warnings for different CPU voltage for 3.3, 12V and 5V
i still experienced a shutdown though even after unintalling the program

More about : 3770k reading aida stress test reached volts
