I currently have a i5 3570k overclocked to 4.6ghz with my corsair h60 closed water cooler. My only problem with this cooler is the noise coming from it, it has such a noticeable whir (sp?)

My question is, what heatsink would be better to get? I been leaning towards high end air coolers in my research, but i am concerned about my case.

I have a cooler master HAF XB which i believe would have plenty of room for the likes of a Noctua heatsink.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. i would love to keep a stable overclock like this, i just am startin to get headaches from the constant noise coming from the h60 (could of sworn i only bought it because it was deemed as quiet operating)

i'm using the Noctua NHU12P se2 and temps never get pass 90C in intel burn test (Stress more than Prime 95) on 3770k 1.35V 4.83ghz (105*46)

You can also check the D14 and the H100 is known to fit in front of your case and do an amazing job

You can try to change the fans on your H60 if temps aren't a problem...

The fans that come with the H-series, as far as I know, are the same fans that Corsair sells in two-packs. They aren't the best fans out there, but they're good enough that a fan upgrade won't do much.

I'm bloody impressed that a single pillar, 120mm tower cooler can do that well; the D14 is legendary though, so it makes sense that it's little brother performs amazingly as well.

Sorry, i didn't clarify.

What is a better solution than the H60, i bought it because reviews said it was quiet but the whirr of the pump especially
when the CPU is at 100% load is extremely annoying. I been reading that its a problem with most closed loop water coolers

So i was wondering if there is a better air solution (or maybe another closed liquid cooler if it just turns out the h60 sucks)

That's going to be the same with pretty much any closed-loop water cooler; they're all sucky. I'd upgrade to a Noctua D14, myself - it's the king of all coolers.

Do you think it will fit in my cooler master haf xb?

Ooh, didn't realize you had an mATX case. No, it probably won't fit.
This might be one of the very rare cases in which case I recommend a closed-loop cooler, the H100i. It has a better pump, which means less noise.
