Now i am trying to get it back to windows 7 home premium that it used to be and i am getting no help from Toshiba or Microsoft. Im not computer techie, so please help me, if i sound dumb when it comes to this i am sorry.

What kind of upgrade have you made? To different version? If so, you'll have to reinstall windows wizh your rescue disk or microsoft ISO and use your key from sticker on your laptop to make it genuine again.

Depending on exactly what your brother did, there may be no going back. He may well have wiped out the original recovery partition.

But, on boot, look for an option that mentions "Recovery". And look for the manual for the instructions on how to get there. Hopefully it is still there.

Or, have him buy you a new, valid license. And don't let him touch your PC again.
