Is there any reason that a combo with an i5 3570k with the same motherboard as another combo with an i7 3770k be more expensive?

Here are the links to the Motherboard/CPU Combos:

So why is the i5 combo more expensive? I've heard that the i7 is better and they have the same motherboards so it can't be the motherboards that are causing the prices. Help!

More aggressive discount on the i7 it sounds like...I would buy it if you are wanting to get the i7 that's a good deal.

It doesn't matter because they are both ridiculous price mistakes. The motherboard is only $110 sold separately. So you are either payin $380 for a i7 or 480 for an i5 with those combo "deals"!

I can see that now. I was able to look up two of the same exact deals that are priced WAY differently:

That still isn't cheaper vs buying a la carte'.

It's a good board and a good processor, just make sure you shop around. Check newegg, amazon, too.

Yeah, if they are priced that far out of whack, then disregard my previous post...I couldn't get the links to open from here...(firewall @ work blocks shopping sites)

Though if you go to pcpartpicker, it will show you who is selling those parts cheapest.
