its zotac gtx 650
i want to buy gigabyte powerock 400w with 17a and 14a on 12v V1 and 12v V2
its 80plus cerified and is cheap.
config:
c2d 2.80 ghz e7400, 3gb ram ddr2, 320gb hd.
my previous psu odyssey 450w not being able to run my card.
it crashes at login screen after driver installation.
WILL POWEROCK 400w BE ENOUGH

Solution
Yes it is enough. The 650 has a TDP of 64W, while the 12V 1 has 17A=around 200W. That is the same for your CPU. 64x2=128W. Your PSU on 1 rail should have 200W.
Because it is a cheap PSU, it may not be as good as you think. With cheaper PSUs, i recommend only using 2/3 of the advertised power output.
So in this case, 2/3 of 400w would be 266w. Your PC will not pull more than that.
Bear in mind any upgrades you want to do in the future will need a better PSU.

As always, remember to select a solution when your question has been answered.

i have 3 levels when answering psu questions.....yes, no, and risky.
i say risky, your call. cheap psu's dont tend to put out their advertised watts. i saw a cheap psu review on a aepevia psu. it advertised 800w...it exploded at 380w.:)
