Having a minor inconvenience problem with my card, and it's causing some irritation; especially while gaming.

Up till recently, I have been using a Mini-HDMI - HDMI Adapter with an HDMI cable to connect my Samsung S27A300 to my system. It was impractical for me; as whenever I bumped the cable with my foot I would lose my image till I reconnected the cable. Currently I also have an additional monitor connected via a DVI - VGA connection. It's an old monitor that has no issues and is listed as my #2 priority monitor.

Recently I bought an HDMI - DVI cable to aid in my struggle. This leaves me with two monitors plugged in via the two DVI ports on the back of my video card.
The problem is, occasionally while I game or even use the computer for assignments, I lose the image randomly for about 2 seconds, then it comes on and repeats for about 25-30 seconds. It's quite irritating as you can imagine, and I cannot work out for the heart of me what's causing it.

I have tried updating the drivers of my graphics card to their latest version, as well as install any relevant windows updates and service pack changes.

My system is currently running:
Intel i7-2600K
Nvidia GTX560Ti
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
12GB DDR3 1666MHz RAM
2TB WD Caviar Black
128GB Corsair SSD

What sort of insight is there with this problem, and how can it be remedied?

Kind Regards,
Stephen.

I know that sometimes my nvidia drivers fail, and then come back online, its something that happens to me maybe once a week. but i also happen to know that two of the slots on my main card seem to be a little loose, as in when i plug in my DVI or mini-hdmi even the slightest bump will cause the monitor to slip out of perfect connection and give me either artifacts or just no image.

I dont know of any issues, but like i said, mine actually tells me that my drivers encountered an error and managed to restart, so if your computer isnt telling you this then it could very well be a completely different issue

one thing you could do to check your card is run a stress test on it for a little while, and see if any errors come up.

what are the temps on your card?
