CLEAR 4G internet router security setting question

The company that set up our new CLEAR 4G internet account provided only one type of router that does not indicate "high," "medium," or "low" setting options. Technical support for CLEAR indicated there is only one setting and that is "high." They were not able to confirm if this was 264-bit speed, which is about the highest level of security setting, I believe. Is their indication of "high" safe enough for online banking? Thank you.

Online banking? so you are talking about the encryption level? That has nothing to do with the router. It is related to the https protocol. You browser and the banking server will negotiate that.

My son said the "high" router setting has to do with the highest firewall protection afforded by the router. Without that highest firewall protection, he said he is not entirely comfortable giving me the go-ahead to online bank. our particular router only has "enable" and "disable." Thoughts, anyone? Thanks.

If your talking about wireless security, then WPA/WPA2 + AES 256-bit encyption should be possible from all routers now, unless it is an ancient model.
