I am after a monitor which i will just use for gaming.

I wont lie i have no idea whats good and whats not, what i do know is a would like an Asus one

again only because i read that they are good monitors for gaming.

i have not seen many as i dont really know what to look for (i do in a TV)

my budget is £150 - £200 ideally closer to £150 and would like a 23" due to limited space.

So the best i can get for that budget

Thanks

I have two suggestions for you.

Asus ML238H if you dont need more than one HDMI connection: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005INYHFI/?tag=pcp0f-21

Has one HDMI connection, one VGA connection and is a very nice monitor with a 2ms refresh rate.

Asus VE248H: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0043T7FHK/?tag=pcp0f-21

This has one HDMI, one VGA, and one DVI connection, also with a 2ms refresh rate, but the contrast is not quite as sharp as the one above.

I would say go with the Asus ML238H, but thats just me since its a little cheaper and I only use HDMI anyway.

I like the look of this one, and have been reading about IPS... one thing that i struggle with is IPS vs the 2ms responce time on the one above

The IPS has a response time of 5ms which isn't bad compared to non IPS monitors and great for an IPS screen. 8ms and higher is what I usually see on the IPS monitors I've looked at.

My previous monitors had 5ms response times and in games I did not notice it. I also don't notice a difference between the old monitors and my 2 AOC's with 2ms response times. Edit: Well other than they are bigger.

OK slight change in plan.

I am after a 22" gaming monitor from Asus

I have had a look on there site and most are 5ms & 1920x1080 1080p

But for the life of me i have no idea which is the best 22" from Asus

Any more help would be much appreciated

PS 22" due to no room to house 2 X 23"/ 24"

was thinking of the Asus VS228H
