I purchased the ViewSonic VX2370Smh for $150. I will mainly use it for gaming (Dota 2, Battlefield 3, Far cry3) and text reading (studying) I really want to reduce eye strain when reading text for a long period of time. Is this a good choice?
Thank you very much :)

P/s : I also foundASUS VS239H-P Black 23" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Monitor 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1, IPS Panel. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236288
what do you recommend?

Solution
If I were to buy one for gaming, then I'd get the Asus you listed. Two reasons, 5ms (GTG) is probably enough and that Asus is an IPS monitor not TN. Translation, better picture quality and improved viewing angles.

I can't comment on the ViewSonic model cuz a quick google search turned up no reviews. However, given the popularity of the Asus gaming models I'd recommend returning the ViewSonic and get that Asus model.

I have that exact same asus monitor. I agree with envy, its a very nice monitor. No ghosting or anything. I doubt this needs to be said but the viewing angles on it are loads better than my old TN. I use it for gaming/videos/reading/anything else and nothing wrong with mine at all.

One thing though, if/when you get it, turn the brightness down.
