i have a Fx 6100 and im in major need of an overclock. i haven't got the money to buy a new processor before some wise guy comes up with that idea.

im looking for the best CPU cooler i can get for under £40 it needs to be able to deal with a hefty overclock to 4ghz and keep my temp ideally below 60 as the saftey for a fx-6100 is 69c. i have about 140 mm of space for a heat sink and not very good air flow however my side fans blow straight onto my cpu so low profile fans seem like a good idea.

also an additional note, i do not care how loud it is,having a loud fan dosent bother as im currently using a desk fan for extra cooling.

either way im in desperate need of a new heat sink as i want to OC to get rid of my bloody bottleneck. so if any body knows of a good heat sink let me know.

btw here's an indication of my air flow situation i have 4 120m fans on the case 3 intake (front1, side2) and an exhaust on the back, with the stock cooler my idle is about 34c and the case is as tidy as its gonna get.

please help me!

For around that money then Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is probably the best choice. Its not a bad cooler for the money but if you are wanting to push your CPU then you are going to need to spend a bit more. I have a Artic 7 freezer pro (similar price) its not quite as good as the EVO but it is similar. I not overclocked a 6100 before so i am not sure how well it will keep it cool but on my i5 i overclocked to 4.5GHz and it runs into the low 70's on stress testing. If you can i would try and up your budget. Sorry I couldnt be more help.
