Hey guys, new to pc building and parts.
Hopefully within the next couple of weeks ill be putting together a new budget gaming pc.
I would like some input on the parts ive put together and any advice on the parts as in , if im wasting money or could do with investing more on that certain part.
Heres what ive got

Motherboard- Asrock Z75 Pro3 .What are your thoughts on this?

Processor- I5 3550p (Originally i chose the I5 3470).I changed due to a £15 difference, there is a speed difference, 3.1ghz to the 3470' 3.2ghz. Will that be noticeable? I may want to over clock later on.

Graphics card -EVGA Gtx650ti 2gb GDDR5 Superclocked. What are you thoughts on this card?

RAM- Corsair 8gb DDR3 1600MHZ.

PSU-Corsair 500w cx builder 80% plus. This is £50!Theres alot cheaper out there, does the 80plus efficiency and 3 year warranty make sense for the price tag?

HDD- 1tb western digital caviar green

Case-any reccomendations? Cheap and cheerful, plenty of space .

Monitor-Will be using lcd hd tv.

Any advice much appreciated.

to be honest..

CPU: I5 3570k (its the best one out there at the moment for gaming, and at the price difference id say its worth it)
Motherboard: the Z77 Pro4 would probably be better and i know theres some good deals on them out there if you search a little
PSU: try and get the modular version of the corsair
Case: Zolaman Z11 plus is cheap and big.. coolermaster HAF 912 is quite good.. just google best budget case and youll get a review or a list..

It depends if the OP is overclocking or not. If he doesn't feel like overclocking, then the i5-3550p is fine. The only real difference between the i5-3550p and the i5-3570k is the lack of overclocking ability and the lack of integrated gpu.
The ASRock Z75 pro3 is a bit overkill imo. Since you're grabbing the 3550p, you won't be doing any overclocking. Even a h77 motherboard works.
Switch out the HDD for a 1tb western digital caviar blue.
xAdam had good case recommendations, CM HAF 912 is big and provide lots of airflow. Zalman makes great budget cases, not just the Z11. There's some nice NZXT case like the NZXT Source 210 Elite.

Ok ive started checking out those cases and parts. Why do you prefer the caviar blue ?
I doubt ill be overclocking. In reality in this current system ive made going to struggle with any games out at the moment,or this year?or next?

With your budget, you can't build a pc that will handle any game right now. With the 650ti boost, you should be able to handle a good amount of games at decent settings and fps, but don't expect to handle Crysis 3 maxed out.
Caviar greens are only 5400rpm, while caviar blues are 7200rpm. The blue will read things faster.

Ok,im happy enough with that.
Im confused about overclocking, the system builder marathon used a 3550p and asrock z75 pro 3 mobo and they overclocked slightly. What is limiting me ?
