Hello I'm looking forward to get a new gaming pc. I'm looking for a long-term gaming PC. So far this is what I have in mind
PcPartpicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ockr

Approximate Purchase Date: Next week
Budget Range: 1800 - 2000 USD without peripherals
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies.

Country: Mexico, this restrict some of my choices

I'm kinda settled on the case, the heat sink, processor and power supply. But I have some some doubts towards the motherboard, GPU, HDD and SSD.

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V Pro VS Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB
Both cost the same in my country, and gigabyte's it's actually cheaper with my local retailer due to a promo. I've read a lot of bad stuff about that gigabyte model thus I'm considering the asus as my top choice. I also been toying with the idea of a Asus Maximus V Formula or a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5-TH.

GPU: I like the Gigabyte GTX 670 OC, but I've read the asus equivalent it's really good too.

HDD: I'm considering donwgrading from 2TB to 1TB of the same model HDD to loose the budget.

SSD: I'm looking forward to a not so expensive SDD but with good performance for gaming and OS. I've read really good reviews about that kingston model.

Thank you for your help.

This rig will cut through all games out there as they were butter. You might think it's silly that I chose a Titan, when you easily can get better performance for less money? My answer to that is yes. however will it make your gaming experience better? My answer to that is no.

Using a single GPU will dramatically decrease stuttering and driver issues, which can result in bad performance in games. I see that as the best gaming experience.

No need for a lot of these items. High end boards are mostly for OCs and will rarely be used for all the "extra" stuff that comes with it.

i7 is not need because it is true that games are using more cores but they are not using threads(i7 is an i5 with Hyper threading which won't come in handy for games)

the 7970 GHz is just a beast in terms of performance.

The 410 phantom is a pretty large case, its about the size of a full tower so i would rather get a full tower over the 410. The case i put inside has much more quality than the 410 and a lot more sturdy while being a small case that can fit almost anywhere.

Blu ray drives are just not needed, most people don't even use CDs anymore but if you are going to rent/buy those blu ray discs, you can go for it.(i usually just download them anyways)

Also grab the 7970 from here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202001
