hello every one
first i would like to thank you for this marvelous forum which i find so useful i want to make my own PC i was about to buy a processor:
Intel Core i3 3220 Ivy Bridge 3.3 GHz
but some one told me that this one:
Intel Core i3 2120 3.30GHz
is better, so i just would like to know what do you think... and if both are not good and any of you have better one please tell me about but to be with the same price or near to it....

thanks for any attention you may give to my post

at equal pricing the i3-3220 is the better intel CPU (see link below). the i3-2120 would make sense if you are getting a good deal on it compared to the 3220. Both CPUs are very good budget gaming CPUs

the other alternative is the AMD FX-6300 (see the article linked) but which can trade benchmarks with the i3 on its good day but may trail in some older games that are dual core optimized.

I think it would come down to what you are wanting to do with the processor. If you are looking for a budget gaming build, either would suffice as long as you are going with a graphics card, and not the built in HD 2000/2500. But if you are just looking to stream some HD and not wanting to spend extra on a graphics card, look at the i3-3225.

This is the CPU I currently use, and it does well for streaming content, surfing, and minimal gaming. This is a little more, but it does come with Intel HD 4000, which does an ok job for basic use.
