Hello,
I'm gonna put it plain and simple, I have no idea about computers and I can't understand any of the other threads relating to this enough to be able to make an informed decision.
So I was hoping someone could help.
I'm in need of a new laptop and I am very close to buying an Asus k55vd, but I'm concerned about the use of paying extra for the Nvidia graphics card.
All I want to do is play a few games, nothing too demanding. It's mainly The Sims 3. I'm currently playing on a crappy Acer Aspire 4920 c. 2008. It freezes every 3 seconds for about 5 seconds. All I want is to play it relatively smoothly on low/medium settings.
Will I need the dedicated graphics card, or can I make do with Intel's core i5 integrated graphics?
I get the idea the graphics card is hardly worth having so was wondering if I could save a couple of bucks.
I'd be really grateful if you could explain this in quite simple language because I really have no clue about what most of the numbers mean.
Thanks
