Hi folks,

Just needing some advice on my Palit Jetstream Geforce GTX 680 that i purchased. Just to add that i purchased it "new" on ebay The main problem that I'm having is that whenever i try to play any game, it crashes immediately.

Originally when i first installed it, I put the card into one my MB's Pcie 3.0 slot and downloaded the latest drivers from Geforce's website on the internet. After doing this I would get an error stating that "Display Drivers had stopped responding, but it had recovered". Therefore, i tried older drivers with the same results.

I then installed the drivers on the disk that came with in the box with the graphics card and they seem to have stopped this error, however, I cannot play any game without it crashing.

I am running MSI afterburner and the temperatures are fine, however, when i load up a game, the GPU usage rockets up to 98%, the core clock rockets up to 1189 and the Memory Clock shots up to 3150, this happen even i play older games that are not that demanding.

So far i have tried:
1. Installing new drivers
2. Changing the card to the other Pcie 3.0 slot on the MB

I have read about driver issues with the GTX 680 cards, however, after getting rid of the "Display drivers stopped responding" problem, I now feel it might be the card that is faulty.

Just wanting to know your thoughts on what might be wrong or what i can do to fix the issue. Desperate to get it working as i have finally spent all this money to improve my graphics and FPS.

Thanks, Greig

Forgot to add my specs

i7-3770k running @ 3.5 ghz
Noctua Nh-d14 air cooler
MSI Z77a-GD55 motherboard
8gb Corsair XMS3 RAM
750 Watt power supply
Antec 1200 case

Definitely update the motherboard drivers.

If that doesn't fix the problem, go for a clean install of the latest Nvidia drivers off the Nvidia or Geforce website. Start by uninstalling the old drivers using the Windows Control Panel, restart the PC, then install the new drivers using the "Clean Install" option.
