I have a Asus P6T in a system I built that has both Win8 and a newly installed HDD that I had laying around with XP already loaded onto it. It was my old 'C' drives and is now a 3rd drive in this new machine. I have another post dealing with dual booting, but, my question here is that when I boot (via BIOS) to the XP drive, my mouse and kb do not function. I have a wireless M & K/B for Win8 use, but even if I connect a USB M & K/B for XP they don't work either. I am guessing its a driver issue, but I cannot find anything over at Asus to substantiate that. Has anyone here run into this same issue?

Thank you for any assistance.

Seems it is a mouse/KB driver issue on your XP installation. Have you installed proper driver for your Mouse & Keyboard? Wireless Mouse & Keyboard often needs manual installation(from driver CD) than OS's prebuilt one.

I gave it another try after posting and for some odd reason, the KB came to life. It took a few minutes of waiting but it happened and I got several XP requests to load new drivers. My wireless connection however, is one of those requests so I have to find my original CD's to add them back. The mouse is still DOA, which makes it hard to nav in XP, but its doable.

Thanks Akashdeep for your post.
