Will I see a lot of graphical difference between a gt 220 and a gtx 680?

Hello everyone! So as it stands, I have a gt 220 graphics card, and I really like playing a game called Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I can run it perfectly fine at its highest settings, but it still looks really bad. I googled a bit and saw that a better graphics card won't actually make a game look better, but instead will make you be able to choose a higher graphical setting which in turn will make the game look better.

But the gt 220 can already run the game at its highest possible setting. So my question is, will I see alot of difference between MS flight simulator x at its highest setting with gt 220, and MS flight simulator x at its highest setting with gtx 680?

And if so, will there be alot of difference between a gtx 660, and the gtx 680?

Solution
If you are already playing on the highest settings that the game has available then upgrading the graphics card will do nothing to improve the appearance of the game. The problem is that the game is very old and it is not coded to be able to use the modern capabilities of newer graphics cards. It doesn't matter if the graphics card is ten generations newer if the program doesn't know how to use the capabilities of the card.

on MS flight simulator; no it wont because you've already said its already maxed out (are you seeing artifacts on the game though? Maybe a driver update will change that). other games like crysis 3 though, it will. by a landslide. 5 miles long. with cherry on top.

i haven't tried flight sim, how old is this game? if its just a recent game, i doubt that a 220 can max it out? are you sure it's the highest setting? gt220 is really low, even back in its day. if this was a gtx260 then ok.

but comparing the cards, just check the price and you'll get the idea

the game was released way back in 2006 (was it 2007?) if i am right. nevertheless its safe to say that he can max the settings if he plays way below 1080p and get 60+fps.
