Hey guys, I upgraded my computer a while ago and used the AMD A10 APU and I am very satisfied. Although, one thing that does not make me happy is that whenever I try to do certain things, for example, play Planetside 2, or Render a Video the CPU goes up in temp. rapidly. It usually sits idle at around 35-40 degrees Celsius but when I render or something it can jump to 80 degrees and even higher. It starts throttling and then the PC crashes (freezes) and its very VERY annoying. There is good airflow to the computer but some dust does get in, but I do blow it out every month or so. Is this just an issue with the stock fan? If so it would be no problem to upgrade to a coolermaster 212 evo.

Thanks

I took your advice (because you also use A series) and took out the CPU fan/heatsink, cleaned off both surfaces with isopropyl rubbing alcohol and applied some Arctic Silver Alumina Thermal Compound and it now sits idle at 31C. Not sure what that compares to the old idle temp but I believe it is a few degrees lower. Testing it out on Planetside 2 now.
