im getting a computer build online and sent to me blank.

CPU: AMD FX-6300

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3, AMD 970, AM3+, ATX

GPU: HIS HD 7850 GDDR5 1024MB DVI/HDMI/2xMini DP

if i put in my windows 7 install disk i got for it will it automatically boot from the dvd becouse the hard drive is blank?

and since my CPU or mobo dont have integrated GPUs will my dedicated GPU display the install screen even before ive installed drivers for it?

Solution
It will boot directly from the disk, yes. The video won't be a problem, the Bios and Windows Setup will work over the GPU. The proper video drivers will enable hardware acceleration but Windows has basic support for video built in.

Put the DVD in the drive, when the PC boots up press f11 (or f10) what ever is the boot options and boot from CD/DVD and follow the on screen instructions to install Windows. Even with a blank HDD your GPU will still work just normally on 800x600 until you get the drivers and CCC.
