Hi, I'm looking to purchase a new laptop- and have a budget of $550 and under. My day to day use on this machine will consist of mainly web use (social media) saving files to computer and emailing them (for my business) - which I have a 2 way sync to Google Drive.
Also, I'd like to store my personal pictures, and play DVD's on for my kids. I also need it to have a separate 10 key number pad on the keyboard..
No gaming, graphic design, etc... use.. However, I want it to be fast on loading!

Was told HP was the best way to go- and stay away from Toshiba and Asus if can help it?

So in layman's terms (PLEASE) will I suffer on speed and performance going with an AMD vs. an Intel Core i option?

Please help!!

I'm considering this option through Best Buy- http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP---Pavilion-15.6%22-Laptop---4GB-Memory---500GB-Hard-Drive---Sparkling-Black/7779121.p;tab=reviews?id=1218860268596&skuId=7779121#tab=overview
