Okay so I have two issues I would like to address here.

#1: My PC is hardwired to my network at my house, my printer is on the wifi part of the network. Can't my PC send the info to the router and then the router transfer it to the printer via wifi? I cannot hook up the printer to my room because of space restrictions. Printer is a HP photosmart 7510 series

#2: My laptop, its a hp 450$ model piece of crap. I'll post model # later if you guys need it. I don't know it off the top of my head. At my house the dam thing cannot connect to the Wifi. (Yes before you ask the password and WEP keys are right). I know the wifi works because when I try to use wifi at another location like my college it works. I had this problem before and I solved it by calling tech support and one guy out of three solved the problem. Others tell me to update the drivers, restart the computer, or manually add the network. Nothing works. The only time it got fixed was when the tech support guy said that my router assigns ID #s to all of the devices that are connected to it. And he said the router assigned the same ID # to my laptop and another device, he cleared it up on his end and it began working properly for two weeks until it happened again. So I call back and the tech support people basically call me dumb and say I must be doing something wrong.

My question, is there someway I can fix this myself, like by going into the router settings?

My ISP is Verizon Fios. 20/5 mbps internet speed.

Thanks for reading and thanks for your time.

This has nothing to do with your ISP.
What router do you have? ( make and model)
I have my Brother wireless, a D-Link DIR-825 dual band N300 wireless/gigabit router and my pc is hard wired.
In your menus of your printer there should be settings on how it connects to Wi-Fi you should have it set to "IP assigned by DHCP" or something to that effect. Check your manual or online @ HP.
You must also enter the password or pin number depending on how you have your wireless router configured.
I used a password as I have better control and it's easier to remember..lol
Once you have the printer acknowledge that it is in fact connected to your network via the screen on the printer.
Go to your pc and click start>Printers and devices>add printer.
Follow the prompts and you want the network/wireless/blue tooth option.
Your printer should list in the window if not you might have to restart the router, printer and pc to have them all assigned.
Let me know how it's going? It can be aggravating at times.
But I'll stay with this thread as I have had my own fun with this..lol
