Hello,

This is my current setup:
-Core 2 Duo e6750 OR Q6600
-MSI G41M-p23 ms-7592 OR Asus P5K-E
-2x2gb Kingston Memory 99u5474 (part number?)
- GeForce 8800Gts
- Basic Antec Case (One Fan)
- Optimax Titan ATX 550 PS
- Basic Hard Drive
- Samsung 75Hz Display (basic aswell)

Editor note: I just received a friends computer with the OR options in it. Let me know if I should change my spending habits according to the acquisition

My goal: Be able to play Battlefield 4 (when its out) and Battlefield 3, CS:GO and most other mainstream FPS shooters with a Reasonable (70+) framerate while maintaining roughly a Medium/High settings with graphics. Smooth gameplay is a must.

What should I do to my system? I am willing to:
A) Upgrade
B) Defile it and turn it into a completely new machine on the inside
C) Start from scratch. (Which i do understand would need a little more $)

Approximate Purchase Date: 3 Weeks from now

Budget Range: 200-500/600

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming. And then regular stuff we all do :)

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, speakers, soundcard. Basically anything thats not a core component the speed of my computer with regards to gaming. OS not needed either

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg etc, PartsPicker is what ill use anyways

Country: Im from canada..

Parts Preferences: Could care less, im all about FUNCTION, how it looks or what its name is means nothing to me.

Overclocking: Sure if its safe

SLI or Crossfire: No idea

Monitor Resolution: 1440x900, im willing to purchase a new monitor however.

Thanks in advance, the world needs techs like you.

I would start by upgrading the CPU, GPU and MOBO. Those are three glaring places that need upgrades. Based on your budget, here are a few suggestions I would make.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 Ivy Bridge 3.2GHz (3.6GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637i53470

$199
GPU: SAPPHIRE 100355OCL Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card OC Version
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102999
$199
MOBO: ASRock Z77 Pro4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157296
$109

I'm no computer genius, but with these three upgrades you will be sitting pretty for $500. Upgrade to 8gb of ram when you have the extra cash for sure.
