I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y570 notebook.
Specs:
- 6 GB RAM.
- Intel Core i7-2670QM @2.20GHz
- nVidia GTX555M, 1GB VGA.
- 500 GB HDD.
I've been having this issue where my computer runs better off on the battery as opposed to whilst plugged in. I play Battlefield 3 on this thing, and my specs can run it for sure, but the thing is; When it's plugged in, I get about 20-30 FPS, when it's on the battery, I get up to 60 FPS...
Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Here's what I tried so far:
I went in the power options. I made sure "High Performance" is set for both plugged and battery. I went into advanced options for "High Performance", and mimicked the settings from "Battery" to "Plugged in"...Still the same issue.
I thought I'd do some tests using the different power modes (Balanced, Energy Saver, Etc), but to no avail, same results.
Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks in advance.
