I bought a new cheap MB because apparent there no more am2+ MB that support DDR2 available at my place. Problem here is that after put it up together, the MB wont start at all. I wonder if my rig is overpowered or something.
I use:
AMD Phenom 9950 x4 BE
Geforce Gtx 275
2x DDR2 4GB Kingston
550 watt psu
80GB WD sata drive n 1 sata DVD Rom

Is the psu overpowered?

Really?? Oh no.. i knew there is something else that i should check. But the tdp was not listed on the box. All there was only that it supported am2+ up to am3+ so i assumed that it would support my phenom 9950 just as easy. So if my mobo have lower watt than my processor ist it normal for it not to started at all? Shouldnt i be able to at least enter the bios and adjust the processor wattage, no?
