So I assembled a PC and here are its components -
AMD 3.3 GHz FX6100 Processor
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard
DDR3-1600MHz 4x2 GB RAM
Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU
Gigabyte GV-R785OC-2GD GPU
When I assembled everything and tried to boot nothing came up on the screen and there was no beep from the motherboard at all. Next I tried removing the GPU, same result. I also tried replacing/removing RAM but still nothing. On the Gigabyte's motherboard page I found out that its written clearly that BIOS of motherboard needs to be updated for Socket AM3+ processors. I searched around and found out that some processor allow at least the BIOS to be installed but I couldn't find about my processor and motherboard.
The motherboard isn't beeping, so maybe there's another problem? And if the problem is CPU compatibility only then how can I update my BIOS without a CPU or update it with the existing CPU? BTW I have an old Athlon 64 3200+ but I'm not sure if it's compatible with my motherboard and I don't want to experiment.
Please reply ASAP, thanks.
Update- I checked out that ATX 12V is not plugged on the motherboard, it was hiding in the cables. Sorry. This was my first build. X_X
