I bought a board with amd c60 to lower the consumption of energy in the room. it runs some games at low setting is 9w of tdp seemed attractive ... but I saw that the sempron 145 and far more powerful but its consumption is also higher. in the end I opted for c 60 amd use it to download and watch movies on the TV in the living room while my pc more powerful one athlon II x4 645 + gtx 550 ti is less used. the bill came very low but feel attracted to mount a semprom 145 to replace amd c 60 what do you think?

Your board may not support a higher TDP rating than your C60 has. You need to check the manufacturer's list of supported CPUs for the board. If the TDP rating is high enough to do the sempron, you should be ok. If the TDP is not high enough, then it would not support that chip.

Good luck.
