My PC is a Dell Studio XPS 8000
with an i7 860
4GB RAM
Intel P55 motherboard pci-e 2.0
350 W PSU
I have a GTX 260 in my computer which I had purchased from Dell.I am thinking of replacing it with a 7850 but my question is will this 350 W PSU suffice?I am already running a overclocked gtx 260 on it.From what I hear 7850 consumes less power as compared to gtx 260.Please dont tell me to upgrade my psu because then I wont have any cash for the video card.lol.Also on my psu it is written

12VA 18A
12VB 12A

So can I buy a 7850 with this power supply? Please keep in mind I am currently running a gtx 260 on it.Any Help is appreciated

It will run HD7850 considering you already ran 260 but for how long it is questionable. All comes down to how good is that PSU. I would get a cheap XFX450 watt to be safe. Thanks

Yes seems little safer than the 7850

I like your courage & enthusiasm :) The AMD HD7850 with 130W TDP is no lame, A very fine card indeed.

Errrrrrgh... What? I hope that that was sarcastic. After year 2004 Dell started to make cheap systems.
He really should buy new PSU with 450W PSU and get same-priced 660.

OK guys I think I will bite the bullet and get the 7850.I hope my psu is enough coz if it could run gtx 260 why not 7850.I just hope AMD is a good company becase I have never used anything other than NVIDIA
