I am looking for a way to exerted the number of monitors I can use with my 2 monitor max supported graphics card(NVIDIA Quadro 4000).

I found 1 solution would be to use a multi-display adapter such as the TripleHead2Go DP Edition. But this particular adapter is a little expensive. Dose any know of any similar products or solutions that would be cheaper?

Solution
Windows 7 is very happy running multiple monitors and multiple different cards.
You can configure them as one big extended desktop if you wish.
Not familiar with quadro, but it should work the same, just with more monitors available to the desktop.

My knowledge is pretty limited in using 2 cards at once. I've only ever seen 2 identical cards run in parallel, thoughts on driver collision/compatibility being an issue with a completely different card? Also do you know of any performance hits I might take in running a low level card alone my current high profile card?
