Before anything:
This is a discussion looking for an answer I suppose hehe
I am not sure if the category is correct, you can also talk about that too :p
Price is not an argument, as i think Fractal is cheaper

What I want to know is the differences, performance, airflow, features, stock fan quality, cable management comparison.
I also am not sure people that have not been or have the mentioned cases should discuss here, unless they know a thread which already talks about this and would like to post a link, which is good ;)

Anyway hope someone helps me on this one

Solution
The 1100 has more expansion slots (9) than the R4 (7+1) and it performs a lot better than the R4. Both cases have great stock fans but the 1100 has a lot more ventilation for airflow. You can't fit a radiator in the 1100, though. The R4 is also quieter. Cable management is great on both cases but the 8 pin on the 1100 might be hard to get through b/c it's taller.

I would go with the 1100 b/c it performs a lot better and acoustics aren't to far from the R4.

Not exactly (just got back from watching both) there's no mention of airflow quality, how many fans can it hold, it's actual space without counting the HDD (matters to me and airflow quality). Still very detailed nonetheless

Wow, almost 800 reads!? I knew this was something very looked for :p Anyway I felt it was needed to maybe give you some detailed info on both cases, here:

R4: http://www.fractal-design.com/?view=product&prod=107 (WINDOW MODEL)
Antec: http://www.antec.com/product.php?id=704505&fid=4&lan=us

Hope this helps and, please, do not take in consideration things like the price or the removable HDD tray feature, the price is of minimal difference and if you really need the space just chop the tray off and buy a 2TB HDD. (other features of minimal difference, cable management space and noise-muffler material)

DEvil

PS.: On the noise matter, remember you can always make your speaker (I hope you have any) produce a noise-canceling hum to counter the noise (I know it sounds techy and it is very unheard of, but hell, they use it on planes these days)

Update: Going to finally solve this thread after a long time without activity, we're almost at what, 1500 reads? wow, thank you to everyone and I hope I helped you in your choice.

EDIT: My solution does not mean you MUST pick the 1100! read carefully everything on this thread before you make a choice.
my opinion? None of them, I got the GX700 :3 lol, but between both I would go with whichever is cheaper really, maybe the 1100 more than the R4 if they were at the same price.
