I'm choosing between these 4 motherboards. No one has all the things I'm looking for:

Here are those things:

1. Offset voltage for OC (MSI doesn't have it, but if there's a workaround, I'll go for the MPOWER)

2. ALC898 (just for going with the best which cheaper boards have also for doing hackintosh though ALC892 is supported, it's just that 898 is superior)

3. LOOKS (UD5H just sucks in my opinion while the MPOWER and GENE has the best looking boards)

Planning to OC to about 4.5ghz, don't know if the components, VRMs and PWMs of each can go that far and the differences between them AFAIK the UP4 has better VRMs. Don't know about the Maximus V GENE.

Don't know if the GENE is worth it over MPOWER because of just the offset OC that the MPOWER lacks.

I saw an Maximus V Formula OPEN BOX on newegg which goes for $220. Don't know about stories of open box so i don't know if it's worth the risk for $220.

Thanks guys!

I would think so, yes. I have one, although my OC isn't high. I like the mSATA slot on it, on a little riser that will also accept a mini-PCIe wireless adapter (you get the riser with the board, but not the wireless adapter). I am using a Crucial M4 mSATA SSD as my boot drive.

So the Maximus V Gene is better than the MPOWER?
