Will this harm my GPU?

Hello good folk of Tom's. I Have recently assembled a computer and everything is working fine, but when i inserted the graphics card it wouldn't quite fit into the pci-e slot on the motherboard and i had to kind of wedge it in there (not enough room between motherboard and pci slots on the case). It seems to be perfectly functional but i was wondering whether this would stress the card or the board to a harmful extent. The motherboard did have to bend slightly to get it in, but not very much as it only didn't fit by about 2-3 mm. Any insights would be appreciated and forgive me if I'm being a bit paranoid. Best regards.

Solution

Then you have no problems at all, provided that it functions correctly and is close to what similar benchmarks produce.

For whatever reason there was too little space between the motherboard and the back of the case, thus i had to push the motherboard forward ever so slightly to fit the card into the pci-e slot. Perhaps my case is damaged as i have had it around for a while, i really don't know why it didn't want to fit. The motherboard is installed correctly.

Well it's not that the card doesn't have enough room inside the case, it's plenty spacious. Its just that the back of the computer case seems a little too far forward such that the card won't easily fit into the pci-e slot of the motherboard. I have no way of providing pictures at the moment but it is not visibly apparent from looking at it that there's anything wrong. Once the card is in it looks perfectly normal. It's just hard to get in initially.

So once the card is in, it sits correctly, or it's still askew?
