The 3770k is $229 at my local microcenter and the 3570K is $190. Im thinking about getting the 3770k with a hyper 212 evo but deciding which mobo to get.
So far ive only looked at the Gigabyte D3H and only wanna spend around 150 for a motherboard.

Depends on what you want the machine to be used for.
Video editing or apps that take advantage of the hyper-threading the i7 offers. then it's a no brainer.
Simple gaming machine... moneys better spent on the i5 and put the rest into a gpu.

Wow... like previously mentioned, at such a low price for the 3770k I would just go for it. You still can't go wrong with a 3570k though, and at 190$ it's still pretty nice.

Actually, the paltry handful of games that "take advantage of multi-threading" actually are slowed down by it. There's also NO reason why "any game in the near future" will support hyperthreading, as the way the technology works is almost useless for the type of processing the CPU has to handle during GAMING workloads.

The extreme 6 has a few more I/O ports, and more importantly, is a bit thicker, which is more suitable for larger coolers.

Alright im going to get the 3770k and the asrock extreme 4 but should i stick with the 212 evo? or should i get something better? Also when i upgrade from amd to intel i have to reinstall windows?

You're changing your motherboard, so yes, you'll have to reinstall windows.

And sticking with the 212 evo is just fine - it's a good little cooler.

Before you go spending money, you need to make sure that your existing case will allow for a different motherboard. Many name brand manufacturers have proprietary/custom mounting holes so you may not just be able to drop in a new something. I am not familiar with Acer, so it may be ok, but you may want to consult with the store where you bought it as far as what your system will allow to be replaced as well as if you will be able to re-use your existing Windows license or have to buy a new OS.

The thermal paste that comes with that cooler is pretty decent - you'd get a couple degrees improvement with new paste, but not enough to warrant another $10, I don't think.
