I am building my first computer, and have made my parts selection. I am nervous that these parts aren't all compatible or aren't really what I am looking for. My budget has a cap of $1300, with these parts coming just under the maximum. The computer will be used for gaming, watching videos, some everyday use, and some audio (MIDI) recording.

First off - NEVER EVER purchase a Raidmax case, they are among the worst vendors you could buy from. And that power supply that's supplied with that case will be disastrous. Second, the Dominator is ridiculously overpriced. You could do this for less:
