I have a 320 GB HDD that was laying around, might have come from a DVR. I plug it in and nothing shows up. I did look in the BIOS and it does show up there. When I look in device manager or my computer it does not show up. Is there anything I can do to make it usable or is it just a paper weight?
Someone suggested the drive needs new firmware, if this is the case how would I do that.
