Hey guys, I've been working at this for a few days and not able to resolve it. I've had an issue with just my computer on our wifi not being able to access anything but HTTPS sites. The wifi works on other computers and when I plug in a wired connection to my computer the internet it works normally. The issue is the same on all 3 major browsers and on both mac and pc OS's. Any ideas? I've tried looking for a virus/malware, I've reinstalled network drivers etc. I've read it could be something to do with port 80 being blocked, but I'm not entirely that good at networking so... any ideas? Basically I can get Https sites like email and facebook, but I'm unable to access most sites, game servers etc

The router would be one received from the ISP, Telus. Actiontec V1000H. I know it's not a good router, but this isn't my internet so I don't control the hardware. I somehow think it's a computer issue, but at this point I'm willing to try anything.

If I am correct in stating that all computers cannot brows the internet using Wi-Fi but all work fine using the wired connection.
Then it is definitely the settings in the router that is causing your issue.
Call you ISP and get their tech-support guys to walk you through the Wi-Fi setup.
