Should i wait for haswell?

Do you need it now? Haswell comes out in 2 months. If I were in the situation of thinking about buying one I'd wait to see what Haswell offers.

I waited for Ivy bridge and when I saw the results I decided to get the Sandy Bridge cuz of the price. ($20 cheaper)

When something new comes out theres always a perium to pay to have it. I always wait at least 6 months I didn't use to be that way when the brand new bad ass radeons came out I paid over 600 bucks this is back in the day it bit me in the ass always wait unless you just cant that way you can read reviews and see if its worth it or has a lot of bugs and in that time the product may have come down in price by the 6 months to purchase. Like I said I rode that rodeo one time before just as a new radeon came out hmmmm I belive it was a brand new radeon 9800 pro and it was so f up it wasn't funny it was new and hadn't had the bugs worked out of it yet. Good luck

HD7850?
It is already a lot better than my current HD6850.
It depends on what games with what settings you use.

Example:
I played always with 1920x1200 on my Dell U2412M with my old HD6850 and Q6600,
Starcraft 2 + HoS (2x AA, all medium)
Skyrim (4x AA, all medium high)
Mass Effect 2+3 (maxed all available)
Tropico 4 (maxed all available)
Torchlight 2 (maxed all available)

I say ...go for HD7850, HD7870 or higher...just make sure you get something you can afford...

From 6450 to 7850?
It is not a big jump!
I would say...
It is a super duper huge big mega ultra jump in games!
6450 and 7850 come from different GPU classes
The one is from low-low class the other one is from mid-high class...not to mention the generation difference...

I put 7870 also in the same class as 7850
While 7970, etc. are all to high-high class...if you get one of these it will be ultra ultra mega mega super galactic jump from 6450 LoL

In general it is a good card and a significant upgrade from what you currently have. You can compare it's performance to other graphic cards in the following link.
