Dear All,

I am having a GTX 295 graphics card & i am unable to play crysis 3. Its quite ovious because my card supports DX 10.1, but i also have a seperate pc loaded with a Zotac GT 520- 2GB.
My board is Asus RAMPAGE II GENE with Core i7 Extreme Edition 990X(3.46G,L2:6x256KB,L3:12M,rev.B1,130W) which supports both SLI & Crossfire X. Now can i crossfire Gtx 295 with GT 520 only for getting the Direct X 11 support...??
I bought the game with all my savings, but I don't have that much money to Buy a new rig.

Please reply as i am very much eager to play crysis 3. :(

Regards
Azvi

i got your point, but what i need to know that like improving Physx , can i modify the Direct X . I want the support of DX11 only from
GT 520. rest my GTX 295 can handle.....

So please suggest whether to use or not... as i dont want to damage my rig or the card itself.

Thanks

Hi Azvi,

Unfortunately you can't SLI those two graphics cards together to get better performance. You ideally need 2 of the same graphics card to use SLI.

You could however use your GT 520 as a physix card through the nVidia control panel. That might wield a performance improvement, but not a lot!

Your rig spec is brilliant, the only thing letter you down is your graphics card. Change it to a GTX 660Ti and Crysis 3 will run fine!

first, xfire is for amd, so it's SLI for you.

second, im not an expert but you cannot SLI a fast card with a SLOW one. For amd i know they can xfire cards that are similar in performance though.
what i know is you can use 2 nvidia cards, but the other one will be used as a physx card, but not as SLI config like 2x295.

my advice, save up if you want to. or sell that card and get a newer generation (just add more cash)

Thanks for the advise , but i do not want to SLI those cards.. i want to utilize only the Direct X 11 of GT 520 . Just like we generally do to get the Physx from another card.

Thanks ... reply soon.
