1. What is your budget: 800$

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering: 15"

3. What screen resolution do you want: I'm not sure, I have been told that 1366x768 is awful so preferably 1600x900 and up but only if 1366x768 is really that bad

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop: no? not sure what this question means, the laptop will be for gaming and internet while on the road

5. How much battery life do you need: this isn't overly important for me as it will generally be plugged in.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High): Yes, Sc2 on low/medium, WoW on medium, Dota 2 on low/medium, LoL on whatever

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need: 500gb will probably be sufficient.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop: 3-6 years

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons: I prefer Asus and MSI because I have heard bad things about HP and Acer.

13. What country do you live in: Canada

I have an 800$ budget and I am looking for something I can use to play games and use internet while traveling, the most important thing is that I can play the games and have them not be super slow since most of them are competitive games.

I was told 1366x768 is something to avoid but i am not knowledgeable in this.

This is the laptop I was originally considering but not sure due to the resolution.

This is my other option that I personally found, any other suggestions would be great but after a night of searching the one from newegg looks like my best bang for the buck.

How about the asus n56dp-dh11? it has 8gb memory, which is pretty much all youll need for memory and a nice 1080p matte screen. It comes with the amd a10 processor as well as a radeon 7730m so it should be able to play those games at at least medium settings, maybe even high if you turn down the resolution to 900p. If you don't like it, i recommend looking for others on xoticpc, usually they have the cheapest prices.
