I can either buy 8 inks for £89.91 and get a free tablet (http://www.ijtdirect.co.uk/somertek7tab/)
or I can buy 8 inks for £47.95 and no tablet
what do you think is should do, is the tablet any good, it wouldn't be used an awful lot.
is it worth the difference

I have a friend who loves those, he has three in his family - he also has two 10" tablets that he likes (one is brand name). I think the price is good but the question remains, "is there a need?". I personally can't justify a tablet (even at a good price) as I currently have no need for one but if you think it'll be useful, I'd say it represents a good value

In my experience it is never a good idea to get these sort of Chinese knockoff tablets. The quality is never quite there, and you won't be getting the fit and finnish of even a $199 Nexus 7.
