Hello,
I have a small motherboard intel dh61ag with PCI express 2.0 x4 slot and I'm thinking about putting there ordinary discrete x16 graphic card. I know there will be flaw in performance, but do you think with more powerfull GPU will come more bottleneck performance, or will my final performance stop on some level?

I read somewhere, that this "bottleneck" performance are better handled by ATI GPUs.

Do you think that, with this card

in PCI express 2.0 x4 slot can I run f.ex. farcry3, witcher2 on middle/high details?
Will it be faster/better compared to intel HD4000 in i7 processor?

Thank you for your help

a powerful gpu will probably bottleneck on that. limited bandwidth

Yes, but do you think that powerfull gpu in pci x4(only) will be better than built in intel hd4000?

it is likely that getting a powerful gpu and bottleneck would be slower than a less powerful gpu and full motherboard support. so get a cheaper gpu and get a new motherboard
