Hi, I have recently built a new computer, and have been having some extremely frustrating connectivity issues. Every few hours or so, while doing nothing out of the ordinary, my computer will lose connection to my network, and frantically attempt to reconnect, with no success until I unplug and plug back in my router. It occasionally claims to be connected for a few minutes, but does not actually allow me to access the internet.

I had thought that the problem might be the adapter I bought (TrendNet TEW-643PI), as no other device on my network (My iPhone, my old laptop, and my roommate's Android smartphone) experienced any issues. I went out and bought an EnGenius EUB9603H as a replacement, and experienced the same issue not 3 hours later.

My router is a 2WIRE 3801HGV.

Updating my WLAN drivers did not help, and how would I go about changing channels? (EDIT: I just figured this out, I changed it from 1 to 2)

I have just noticed that upon reloading a web page after restarting my router, I occasionally get a 2WIRE page that reads "Gateway Authentication Failure. Please contact your Service Provider."

Maybe, I was just really hoping to avoid having to do that as it's rather late now, and I have plans all day tomorrow.
