I had newly bought a MSI R7750 Power Edition. I connected it on my PCI-E 2.0 slot.
When I booted up my computer there was no display. Also the GPU fan was not rotating. However, the boot was successful as I could hear the login screen sound from the speakers (keyboard was also working)
I tried the following -
(1) Tried another monitor (HD)
(2) Tried a different DVI adaptor (used to work for previous GPU)

I hadn't connected the external power cable (which came along with GPU) as I thought it wouldn't be necessary as this GPU uses only 45 watts at full load.

My monitor is of DELL (Resolution - 1366x768).

Please help me with the above problem.

if the card has a slot for power then plug it in and see what happens, remember that the 45 watt value may be what it need after the 75 watt motherboard power.

MSI R7750 Power Edition called 'Power Edition' for a reason
If theres a 6pin PCIE external power slot in the card its for a reason aswell.
Connect the 6Pin PCIE Power cord to back of the card will solve the issue :)
Dont worry this doesnt mean it will consume more power but means it can consume power when you overclock, meaning your card is capable of better faster speed overclock compared to normal 7750s :)

"MSI officially released three R7000 Power Edition graphics cards: the R7850 Power Edition 2GD5/OC, R7770 Power Edition 1GD5/OC and R7750 Power Edition 1GD5/OC. The MSI Power Edition cards all support MSI's exclusive Triple Overvoltage function and improved PWM to boost over clocking potential up to 45%1."

But I fear that there is no slot in my PSU where I can fit the external power supply cable. Is there any sort of attachment that I can use to connect the extrenal power supply.

do you have a pci express cable coming from your psu? if so plug that into your gpu.
if you do not then use the supplied molex to pci express adapter
