My first build and would like some advice

This is my first build so i'm no tech expert so i would like to know if this would make a great gaming PC my budget is currently $1500 and my components are:

Case: Zalman Z11 Plus Mid-Tower Gaming Case w/ USB 3.0 & Side-Panel Window
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3820 Quad-Core 3.60
Cooling Fan: Cooler Master Seidon 120M Liquid Cooling System
Motherboard:MSI X79A-GD45 Intel Motherboard
Memory: 16GB (4GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (EVGA Superclocked)
Power Supply: 800 Watts

I'm not sure if this is all the information needed so if its not sorry.

For gaming, not editing, a 3570k and 8GB RAM will give you the same performance as the system you have listed.

Also, with one 660 Ti, you only need 500W.

CPU + MB = way too overkill
Ram = overkill
PSU = overkill
GPU = not worth the money
