Hi, I have been experiencing an issue with my HTPC - after just under 1 hour it will shutdown without warning. The thing that is strange is it shuts off after about one hour pretty consistently. If it was heat related then I would expect it to shut down some time after it warmed up, but then shut down after a much shorter period since the oveheating components would still be hot. Seems the issue is time based rather than heat based....Still no clue...???
I have already tried the following
1. Cleaned everything, including CPU fan and heatsink
2. Confirmed CPU Temp is OK (mid 40's)
3. Swapped out all my RAM
4. Monitored Video card temp - (Mid 80's - HIM Radeon 1GB Heatsink)
5. Swapped out video card
Now I've run out of ideas and things to swap in and out...any thoughts, I'm not even sure if this is hardware or software related ??
No new software loaded and no new hardware installed prior to the issue occurring
HP Pavillion m8000y, running Windows 7 with operating system on SSD and 2TB hard drive.
Thanks very much !
